About Drue

The therapist behind Reset & Rise, and why this work matters so much to me.

Drue Didier, LCSW, founder of Reset & Rise Counseling

I'm Drue Didier, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Reset & Rise Counseling. If you've made it to this page, you're probably doing the very thing that's hardest for the women I work with: pausing to consider that maybe you deserve support too.

I built this practice for the woman who looks like she has it together, and is quietly worn out from holding it all up. If that's you, you're in the right place.

The Work Behind the Credentials

I've spent years sitting with people in some of the hardest moments of their lives, in private practice and at the University of Utah Trauma Center, supporting individuals and families through trauma, grief, crisis, and major life transitions. That experience taught me something that shapes everything I do now: people aren't broken by what happens to them. They adapt, brilliantly and instinctively, to survive it. My job isn't to fix anyone. It's to help you see those adaptations clearly and decide which ones you still want to keep.

[Drue: if you'd like, add a sentence or two here about what drew you to social work in the first place, or a turning point that shaped how you practice. A small personal "why" here builds enormous trust. Optional, but powerful.]

Why I Work With Women

There's a particular kind of tired I see again and again in the women who come to me. It's the tiredness of being everyone's steady one. Of carrying the mental load, the family, the work, the unspoken expectation to look composed no matter what's happening underneath. In Utah especially, there can be quiet pressure to keep it all together, to not disappoint anyone, to be fine.

I work with women because I understand that pressure, and because I've seen what happens when a woman finally gets one space that asks nothing of her except honesty. As a mother of five and a grandmother, I know firsthand how complex a full life can be, and how genuinely hard it is to ask for support when you're the one everyone leans on.

You've been strong for everyone else for a long time. This can be the place you get to set some of that down.

What I Believe About Healing

You're not broken

You're a person who adapted to real circumstances. We work from that respect, never from the idea that something's wrong with you.

Safety comes before everything

Real change happens when your nervous system feels safe, not when you're pushed. We go at your pace, always.

The body is part of the story

Anxiety and overwhelm live in the body, not just the mind. Lasting healing has to include both.

This is a partnership

You're the expert on your life. I bring the training and the steady presence; you bring you. We figure it out together.

Outside the Therapy Room

I'm not only a therapist, I'm a mother of five and a grandmother, which means I know real life isn't tidy, and I won't expect yours to be either.

[Drue: add a couple of human details here, what you love doing when you're not working, something that helps you reset, a value that matters to you. This is the part clients quietly connect with most. Two or three sentences is plenty.]

What It's Like to Work With Me

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy with a trauma-informed, nervous-system-first approach, but what most people remember isn't the methods. It's the feeling of finally being met without judgment, and of leaving sessions a little clearer, steadier, and more connected to themselves. If you want to see exactly how I work, you can read about my method and process here.
