You Shouldn't Have to Choose Between Getting Help and Getting Through Your Day

Between work, family, and everything else on your plate, finding time for therapy can feel like one more impossible task. Maybe you've thought about reaching out before but couldn't figure out when you'd actually go. Maybe the idea of sitting in a waiting room — somewhere you might run into someone you know — kept you from picking up the phone.

That's exactly why we offer online therapy to clients across Utah. You get the same quality of care you'd receive in an office — with a licensed, experienced therapist — without rearranging your entire schedule to make it happen.

No fighting I-15 traffic. No childcare scramble. Just you, your therapist, and a private space to work through what's been weighing on you.

Online Therapy in Utah Might Be Right for You If…

You're managing more than anyone around you realizes. On the outside, things look fine — maybe even great. But underneath, you're dealing with something that won't quiet down. Our clients often come to us when they're experiencing:

  • Anxiety, perfectionism, or burnout from trying to hold everything together
  •   A faith transition, religious questioning, or tension between personal values and community expectations
  • Trauma that still shows up in your body, your sleep, or your relationships
  • Relationship strain — feeling disconnected from a partner even when you're in the same house
  • Stress from the pace of Utah's tech and professional culture — especially in the Salt Lake, Lehi, and Provo corridor
  • The feeling that asking for help somehow means you're failing

If any of that resonates, you're not broken and you're not weak. You're human — and you deserve support that actually fits into your life.

Why More Utahns Are Choosing Online Therapy

Online therapy isn't a lesser version of "real" therapy. Research consistently shows that virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person work for anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. For a lot of people, it's actually more effective — because they're more relaxed, more honest, and more likely to show up consistently when therapy doesn't require a 45-minute drive.

Privacy That Matters

In tight-knit communities — whether that's a neighborhood, a ward, or a small town — privacy is a real concern. Online sessions mean no parking lot encounters and no waiting room small talk. Your therapy stays between you and your therapist.

Access from Anywhere in the State

Whether you're in Logan, Moab, St. George, Cedar City, or anywhere in between, you get the same quality of care as someone living ten minutes from our office in Salt Lake City. Geography stops being a barrier.

Sessions That Flex Around Your Schedule

Early morning before the house wakes up. Lunch break in your car. After the kids are in bed. Online therapy lets you find a time that works without burning another hour on the commute.

A Space That Feels Safe

Many of our clients tell us they open up faster in online sessions because they're in their own environment — a place where they already feel comfortable. That's not a weakness. That's good therapy.

Areas of Focus

Anxiety and Perfectionism

The pressure to perform — at work, at home, in your community — can become a weight you carry so constantly that you forget what it feels like without it. If your mind won't stop running, if you hold yourself to standards that leave no room for being human, we can help you find relief without asking you to lower the bar on what matters to you. We work with you to untangle the anxiety from the ambition so you can keep showing up — just without the cost.

Faith, Identity & Values

Utah's religious and cultural landscape adds layers to mental health that not every therapist understands. Whether you're deepening your faith, questioning it, navigating a transition, or processing the tension between your beliefs and your lived experience — we provide a space that's genuinely neutral. No agenda. No judgment. Just room for you to figure out what your values look like on your own terms.

Relationship Counseling

Relationships take a hit when both people are running on empty. If you and your partner have drifted into patterns of avoidance, resentment, or the same argument on repeat, online relationship counseling can help you break the cycle. We focus on rebuilding communication and connection — practically, not theoretically — so you leave each session with something you can actually use.

Professional Burnout & Work-Life Stress

Utah's economy is booming, and the people powering it are often running on fumes. Whether you're in tech, healthcare, education, or managing a household that feels like its own full-time operation — burnout isn't a sign of weakness. It's a signal. We help you figure out what's draining you and build a sustainable way forward that doesn't require blowing up your life.

Trauma & Somatic Therapy

Some things stay in the body long after the mind has moved on. If you're dealing with hypervigilance, sleep disruption, emotional numbness, or reactions that feel out of proportion to what's happening — trauma-informed, somatic approaches can help. We work with both the mind and the body to help you process what talk therapy alone hasn't been able to reach.

LCSW · Founder, Reset and Rise Counseling

Drue is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Reset and Rise Counseling. She provides online therapy for adults across the state of Utah.

With years of clinical experience in private practice and at the University of Utah Trauma Center, Drue has supported hundreds of clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, faith transitions, and major life changes. She holds advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

As a mother of five and a grandmother, she understands firsthand how complex life can be — and how hard it is to ask for help when you're the one everyone else leans on. Her therapy style is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence. She blends CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help you calm your nervous system, process what you've been carrying, and build real tools for your everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about online therapy in Utah — answered honestly.

  • Is online therapy really as effective as in-person?

Yes. A large body of peer-reviewed research shows that online therapy delivers outcomes comparable to in-person sessions for conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. Many of our clients tell us they actually prefer it — being in a familiar environment helps them open up more quickly, and not having to deal with traffic or parking removes a layer of stress before the session even starts.

  • How do you keep my sessions private?

We use a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted video platform built specifically for healthcare — not Zoom, not FaceTime. Your sessions are never recorded, and your information is never shared. Privacy isn't just a feature of our practice; it's foundational to it.

  • What insurance do you take?

We're in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Quest, Regence, and Select Health, as well as several EAP programs including AWP, Brighton, Cigna EAP, and Sutter EAP. We also accept Carelon Behavioral Health, Lucet, Decent, and Sidecar Health. If your plan isn't listed, contact us and we'll help you understand your options — including out-of-network reimbursement through a superbill.

  • I have questions about faith and therapy. Where do you stand?

We recognize that faith is central to many people's lives in Utah, and for others, it's a source of complex emotions. Our approach is culturally informed and genuinely neutral. We don't impose any religious framework, and we don't dismiss the role your beliefs play in your life. Whatever your relationship with faith looks like right now, we meet you there without judgment.

  • What happens if my internet drops during a session?

It happens, and it's not a big deal. If we lose connection, your therapist will call you directly on your phone to either troubleshoot or finish the session by phone. You don't lose your time, and you don't need to be tech-savvy to make this work. If you can click a link, you can do online therapy.

  • Do I have to live in Salt Lake City to work with you?

No. We're licensed to serve clients throughout the state of Utah. Whether you're in Provo, Ogden, St. George, Logan, Park City, Moab, Cedar City, or a rural community — online therapy gives you access to the same quality of care regardless of your ZIP code.
